How long does it take to build a website?

The time it takes to build a website varies on the size and scope of the project. For an average website project you might expect the timeline to look like this:

Planning phase: 1 – 2 weeks
Production phase: 6 – 8 weeks
Wrap up and launch: 1 week

Do I own my website after it has been completed?

Yes, once we have finished your project and you’ve paid for it, you will completely own your website. This includes all design files, content and code (if applicable). We will transfer these assets to you along with login credentials.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payments via credit card or bank transfer.

Design & Development Process

What do you need from me to get started?

All you need to do is schedule a project planning call. This is the first step. After that, we work on collecting from you all the information we need to complete the project.

Will I see what my website will look like before development begins?

Yes you will! We make sure to get your approval in each stage in the process. We provide custom mockups and prototypes during the design phase. This allows you to approve the design before we begin development.

Will my website work and look good on mobile phones and tablets?

Yes, we always build our websites to be mobile-friendly and responsive. No matter the size of the project, it will look great on tablets, and smartphones (and desktop screen sizes of course).

Content & Features

Do I need to write the content for my website, or do you provide it?

Yes, we will write the content of your website for you as part of our service. We will gather all the information and details we need from you to do our best job.

What happens if I don't have professional photos for my website?

If you don’t have the right photos for your website, we will help you get them. This could mean coaching you on taking new ones, getting appropriate stock photos, or hiring a professional photographer if necessary.

Technical & SEO Questions

Will my website be optimized for search engines (SEO)?

SEO has two parts to it: on-page SEO and off-page SEO. We will do the majority of the on-page SEO for your website. This means your website will be fully prepared for success if you choose to invest in off-page SEO for your website.

How fast will my website load?

We can’t guarantee a specific loading speed because it can vary. But we optimize all websites for speed as part of our standard service. Fast loading times are crucial since slow websites lead to lost customers. We will make sure that the images are optimized, and we use fast, reliable hosting.

Hosting & Support

Where will my website be hosted?

We host our websites on Hetzner servers. Our website design service includes the hosting cost for 1 year. After the first year, the hosting is $15/month.
You can choose to provide your own hosting. But if you do, we can’t guarantee the same loading speed.

What kind of support do you provide after my website launches?

We provide 12 months of free support after we are done with your website. This includes fixing any broken elements, making minor content updates, and answering questions about your website. We also offer ongoing website support plans for long-term maintenance and updates.

What if I need work done beyond minor content updates?

We are available to help you with major updates for $50/hr. If you have an extensive content update or project, contact us.

What happens if something breaks on my website?

For the first year after your website is completed, we will fix any issues at no charge. After that, we suggest signing up for one of our support plans to ensure your website stays updated and functional as your business grows.

We're a local business based in Yuma, AZ, and we have a personal, friendly approach with a simple, pain-free process of making websites. We want to partner with you and provide custom solutions that are tailored to your actual needs, solutions that are made to help you grow. We want this to be a long-term partnership, too. Can you work with my existing marketing team or other vendors?

Yes, we're happy to coordinate with your marketing professionals and work with your other specialists or partners. In fact, we prefer this so that all our efforts align and the best results are produced.

What type of businesses do you work with?

We primarily work with small businesses. Nevertheless, we are able to work with a wide range of industries and businesses of all sizes. During our discovery phase, we'll learn about your specific industry needs and tailor our approach accordingly.

Do you work with businesses outside of Yuma?

Absolutely! While we are based in Yuma, our business can work completely online, allowing us to work with clients from anywhere.

Website support plans

General Service Questions

Will you support a website that you didn't originally build?

Yes, we will support any website even if we didn’t build it. But we do require a $200 startup fee for websites that we didn't create. This is because it takes some extra time for us to familiarize ourselves with your website and business and perform and required setup.

How fast is your response time to website support requests?

The standard and professional support plans include unlimited content changes. We typically complete these requested changes in 1-2 business days.
The time it takes to complete bigger content changes varies depending on the size of the content change request.

What happens if I need more support than what’s included in my plan?

For basic needs, you shouldn’t need to go above the allotted monthly support hours. But if so, we do additional work at $50/hour. If you have a more major content update or redesign or you want to add a new feature, we can do that at $50/hour, too.

Technical & Security Questions

How often do you back up my website?

If you host with us (as included in our support plans), your website will be backed up daily. We set up daily backups through our hosting at Hetzner.

What software updates do you include in the support plans?

We will take care of any WordPress software updates and all theme and plugin updates. All updates are important to maintain security and keep the website up-to-date.

Reporting & Communication Questions

What information is provided in your monthly reports?

We will give you a detailed outline of the health of your website and tell you everything that we did for your website for that quarter/month. The reports include information on website traffic and performance. We will include details about any content changes that we made or any issues that arose that month. We will also suggest improvements to your website when applicable.

How will you communicate with me about website issues?

If there are any urgent website issues, we will tell you right away. We want to keep you informed about the important details because we are your partners.
You’ll receive information about any minor website issues and the fixes we implemented in our monthly/quarterly reports.

Can I request specific updates or changes to my website?

Absolutely! This is one of the main purposes of our support plans. If there are content or design changes or other modifications you want, then let us know right away.
If there’s something bigger you want done, something that falls outside of a minor change, we can can assist you at our $50/hour rate.

Why does my website need website maintenance?

Your website requires software updates to stay fast and secure. If the website is not maintained, it can slow down, which directly impacts conversion rates. Websites can also develop broken features or get security vulnerabilities when not updated. None of these things provides a good experience for visitors.

What happens if my website gets hacked?

If that were to happen, we would start working on the situation as soon as we hear of it. We’ll restore your website from the daily backups that are made. We would also implement any other security measures as necessary.

Is website support really worth the cost?

It depends on what your business considers important or valuable.
In our opinion, website support can be valuable for any small business. Firstly, it gives you a peace of mind. You can rest assured that your website is being taken care of. Secondly, we are there to answer questions and make changes for you. But most important, it ensures that your website is performing at its best, making the most impact it can.
Website support is important to us, too. We ourselves invest a lot of time and effort into our website.

Pricing & Contract Questions

Are there any long-term contracts required?

We don’t require any long-term contracts for our website support plans. You can cancel your plan anytime. This allows your business to be flexible as your needs change.

Why might prices be higher depending the website?

Some websites may be older or more complex. They might have a lot more plugins than normal, too. These things add complication when we are doing website support. This means we would have to spend more time and charge more to support these websites.

What if I'm not satisfied with the service?

Our goal is that you would be fully satisfied with our service. If you do have any concerns, though, please communicate with us. We are open to discuss any issues you might have in order to provide the best experience for you.
